Need for Speed: Frostbite; Not Underground; Last Gen Not Powerful
EA has just teased us with Need for Speed with a video that left numerous people asking questions on twitter. The official twitter for need for speed starting answering numerous question such as if the game will just be called “need for speed”, is it a subseries of Underground, next reveal, if its running the same engine as frostbite and finally why it cant run on last gen consoles.
Many speculated that the NFS would be a successor to the Underground sub-series, and while it’s not properly Underground 3, it does share a lot of its elements:
@NormanJay3 it’s not Underground 3 as such, but does share a lot of the stuff that made that game great. This is just #NFS

As this engine is really powerful it could lead the game to be very intensive so it would be require a decent amount of horse power, which the last gen consoles don’t have.
@morphium666 @EA we're not forgetting, but in order to create the best NFS game possible we need the extra horse power.
